New Guy!

There's a new guy working at CHCC! I don't know his name yet, but when we went in the other night he was there and took my coffee order and was soooo hot! Haha. But seriously. He makes Ben's absence bearable, so far.

Missing home a little :)

Today I was in New York City craving mocha. There was a Starbucks every half-a-block, and I did enter two of them for coffee on two separate occasions, but each time I found myself wishing I could just head upstairs after picking up my cup and sit by the big window of the Coffee Shop, looking out at Germantown Avenue, or watching the people who frequent CHCC who even now feel so familiar to me. I can't wait to sit there again when I come home for Thanksgiving.

Hilary's birthday party last week was tres awesome because basically Shelby and I spent the whole time talking to Ben about life and everything. He even showed us how to make an expresso shot!

Bad news is that Ben says he may not be at the coffee shop for much longer. I hope "much longer" translates to AFTER I graduate...

ahh

I was eating the $2.09 toast today and I cursed myself for getting a latte, because I didn't have tea to drink with my jam and bread.

Julia and I got free bread with peanut butter and nutella and jelly...I dumped it all on the bread at once and ate it up...it was LEGIT amazing.

Now that Carolyn and Macrina are gone, it's in our hands to keep this legacy alive, but you haven't written in ages!!!!! Perhaps we ought to recruit some new writers? Who are the other coffee-dwellers who are worthy enough to contribute their coffee escapades?

Creepy stuff we've/I've discovered:

The tutor's name is Bruce (I don't take credit for that one).

Ben got a 3 on the Euro AP and also took AP World but didn't tell me what his score was. Kate did not transfer her AP credits in college and regrets it.

Tom is 28, dating a girl who is 20 (scandalous!), and lives in Wilmington.

The parking guys

I feel like the cool old guys who run the booth in the parking lot deserve a post, because they're awesome and I haven't seen them in FOREVER because apparently they never show up in the afternoons anymore?? I don't know wtf that's about, but at least I don't have to worry about stickers for now. I do, however, keep a stash of unused/stickered tickets in my car's compartment with the funny button.
