Employees: The brown-haired girl who's always there with Gair. The cool girl with short hair, I believe her name is Alli. The blond-haired girl who is awesome, gives me a creative greeting each time I come in, and frequently offers whipped cream in my lattes. A new guy whom I never see, but apparently exists?
As for regulars, there's the woman with the long blond hair who always wears black and heeled boots. The 2 old guys who chill downstairs and are kind of weird (but nice), one of them has huge glasses. The guy who Iz and I concluded was from Yemen. Stink-eye woman. A few others whose distinctive qualities I'll try to figure out later.
Dead guy hasn't been around in a while and neither has German boy????

Blahhhh
At the moment, I'm sitting upstairs on the windowsill. I've seen a few people walk by outside (Ms. Nagle is crossing Germantown Ave. as I type), but no one in here. I miss the days when one could go to the coffee shop and almost inevitably run into somebody else there. It's annoying because I can no longer depend on this place for a social life! Maybe it's just a summer thing and I'm the only one who has nothing else to do. Back to writing thank-you notes.

Back
It is May 25th (memorial day), and Alex, Christina, and I are in the coffee shop. It is glorious.

woot
I was worried that Tom had left Coffee Co., but he's here today. That's lovely. He said he'd been in hiding.
Also, it must be noted that a) the parking lot was repaved a while ago, if people missed out on that...and b) they no longer give you tickets! Apparently it's now all free for shoppers, but the guys are still there. I don't know what they do, exactly. They just patrol the lot and, according to one of them, "find out who's parking and going downtown for the day." So I'm not entirely sure what the policy is as far as how long you're allowed to be parked there....
Mango has moved about 2 blocks down the Avenue.
Also it seems that a couple girls who worked at coffee a couple years ago have returned? Interesting.
Those are the updates I can think of for now. Stay tuned!

New Guy!
There's a new guy working at CHCC! I don't know his name yet, but when we went in the other night he was there and took my coffee order and was soooo hot! Haha. But seriously. He makes Ben's absence bearable, so far.

Missing home a little :)
Today I was in New York City craving mocha. There was a Starbucks every half-a-block, and I did enter two of them for coffee on two separate occasions, but each time I found myself wishing I could just head upstairs after picking up my cup and sit by the big window of the Coffee Shop, looking out at Germantown Avenue, or watching the people who frequent CHCC who even now feel so familiar to me. I can't wait to sit there again when I come home for Thanksgiving.

so
Hilary's birthday party last week was tres awesome because basically Shelby and I spent the whole time talking to Ben about life and everything. He even showed us how to make an expresso shot!
Bad news is that Ben says he may not be at the coffee shop for much longer. I hope "much longer" translates to AFTER I graduate...

ahh
I was eating the $2.09 toast today and I cursed myself for getting a latte, because I didn't have tea to drink with my jam and bread.

Note from a Yalie
I miss the coffee shop! I haven't found any lattes yet that compare. I miss the taste so much. Send my love
